Jacquelyn “Jackie” Carpenter serves as a premier trial attorney in Houston, bringing over two decades of focused criminal defense expertise to the courtroom. Throughout her career, she has litigated over 50 trials, earning acclaim as a tenacious litigator known for her strategic excellence in jury selection and witness testimony.
 
Before founding Carpenter Law Firm, Jackie completed a significant 14-year term at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office. As an inaugural member of the Felony Trial Division and later as Assistant Chief Public Defender, she was the primary choice for the county’s most intricate legal challenges. Her tenure included managing and guiding diverse legal teams for eight years, directly influencing the standards of criminal advocacy within the region.
 
A native Houstonian, Jackie remains steadfast in her commitment to the essential work of defending the accused. A graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, she has been a licensed member of the Texas Bar since 2003, dedicating her professional life to achieving justice for her clients.
